What is a Buyer's Premium?
A buyer's premium is a fee, determined as a flat percentage of your gross purchases, levied by auction houses in order to maintain business expenses. By paying a buyer's premium, you enable us to maintain competitive consignment rates for our sellers; this ensures that you continue to see quality goods arriving for sale at our auction. Hill's buyer's premium is 15% of your total purchases.
Can I leave an Absentee Bid on an item?
We allow absentee bids as a courtesy to our regular customers. We DO NOT accept any bids based on internet pictures. All items MUST be inspected in person to leave an absentee bid. Hill's Auction DOES NOT guarentee the authenticity or condition of merchandise. All absentee bids are executed competitively. For full details please see our absentee bid policy.
I am not a Pennsylvania resident. Do I still have to pay sales tax?
All bidders must pay PA sales tax regardless of their state of residence, unless they have a state tax exemption ID number. We must have a copy of your tax exemption number on file in order to waive taxes on your purchases.
