Terms of Sale
All purchases must be paid for in full on the day of the sale. Purchases include 6% PA Sales Tax and a 10% Buyer's Premium. Payment options include Cash, Approved Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. A 5% handling fee will be charged to customers who carry a balance from one auction to the next.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL! Please inspect items before you bid! Hill's Auction DOES NOT guarantee the authenticity or condition of merchandise. By registering for a bidder number the customer agrees to these terms of sale.
What is a Buyer's Premium?
A buyer's premium is a fee, determined as a flat percentage of your gross purchases, levied by auction houses in order to maintain business expenses. By paying a buyer's premium, you enable us to maintain competitive consignment rates for our sellers; this ensures that you continue to see quality goods arriving for sale at our auction. Hill's buyer's premium is 10% of your total purchases.
Can I leave an Absentee Bid on an item?
We allow absentee bids as a courtesy to our regular customers. We DO NOT accept any bids based on internet pictures. All items MUST be inspected in person to leave an absentee bid. Hill's Auction DOES NOT guarentee the authenticity or condition of merchandise. All absentee bids are executed competitively. For full details please see our absentee bid policy.
I am not a Pennsylvania resident. Do I still have to pay sales tax?
All bidders must pay PA sales tax regardless of their state of residence, unless they have a state tax exemption ID number. We must have a copy of your tax exemption number on file in order to waive taxes on your purchases.
Do you serve food at your auctions?
A snack bar service is operated by members of the Kemblesville United Methodist Church, which benefits from the proceeds. Menu includes hot & cold beverages, sandwiches,
hoagies, hot dogs, chili dogs, soup, home-made pies, candy and crackers.
